1.      Anderson, Clarence E. “Bud or Andy”, Newcastle, CA, Original cadre- Flight Leader and later Operations Officer. Completed two tours remained on active duty with USAF. Retired, living in Auburn, CA.

 

2.      Browning, James W. “Jim”, Lyons, Kansas, Completed one tour. Killed in action during his second tour. Mid air with ME 262.

3.      Bochkay, Donald H. “Don or Bock”, Hollywood, CA Completed two tours. Deployed with squadron to Germany as part of the occupation force. Last 363rd Squadron Commander. Remained in USAF/Nat. Guard. Retired. Deceased from natural causes.

4.      Boyle, Alfred R. “Al”, Hollywood, CA, Shot down. Prisoner of War. Repatriated due to severe injuries, discharged from service. Deceased shortly after he returned to the US.

5.      De Vries, Paul K. “Paul”, Orange, CA, Original cadre- Flight Leader. Completed tour. Separated from the service. Lives in Belleue, WA

6.      Foy, Robert W. “Bob”, Johnson City, NY, Conpleted tour and returned to the US. Separated from the service. Died in an aircraft accident.

 

7.       Gambill, William W. “Stubby”, Union, OR, Shot down. Prisoner of war, died as a result of an allied bombing raid, while being transferred to POW camp.

8.      Giltner, Joe H. Jr. “Joe”, Boston, MA, Squadron Commander. Shot down on his first combat familiarization flight with the 354th Fighter Group. Prisoner of War. Returned to the US and separated from service. Current status unknown.

9.      Hinman, Howard S., Madrid, Iowa, Shot down. Prisoner of War. Returned and separated from the service. Lives in Grand Island, Nebraska.

10. Hiro, Edwin S. “Ed”, Chisholm, Minn. Original cadre, Operations Officer, later Squadron Commander. Shot down on his last mission. Killed in Action.

 

11. Hubbard, Lloyd M. “Hub”, Hayward, CA, Original cadre- Flight Leader. Shot down on his first combat familiarization mission. Killed in Action.

12. McKee, Charles E. “Chuck” Freeport, Texas. Shot down. Prisoner of war. Repatriated due to severe injuries. Returned to the US and separated from the service. Died of natural causes. TX.

 

 

13. Michaely, William D. Butte, MT, Shot down. Prisoner of war. Returned to the US and separated from the service. Living in Green Valley, AZ.

14. McGinley, William R. “Bill”, Orcutt, CA, Killed in action. Mid air collision with another P-51 in the clouds. Crashed in the North Sea

15. Moore, Robert N. “Bob”, Matawa, NJ, Completed tour, separated from the service. Current status unknown.

16. O’Brien, William R. “Bill or O’Bee”, McPherson, KS. Original cadre- Flight Leader. Completed tour. Returned to the US and separated. Living in Houston, TX.

 

 

17. Overstreet, William B. “Bill”, Clifton Forge, VA. Completed tour. Returned to the US and separated. Living, Roanoke, VA.

18. Pascoe, Herschel T. “Tom”, Hayden, AZ, Completed tour. USAF career. Retired. Died of natural causes. AZ

19. Peters, Charles K. “Pete or Daddy Rabbit”, Biloxi, Miss., Completed tour. Career USAF. Died of natural causes LA.

20. Pierce, Joseph H. “Joe”, Marlow, OK. Killed in Action.

21. Ruest, Fred W. Topeka, KS. Shot down, Prisoner of War. Returned to US and separated from the service. Current status unknown.

22. Rogers, Ellis A. Yelm, WA, Killed in action. Aircraft broke up in flight while pursuing FW190 in a dive.

23. Simth, Irvin A. “Smitty”, Grant Pass, OR, Shot down. Killed in action.

24. Simpson, Edward K. “Eddie”, Hampton, NJ. Killed in action. Collided with another P-51 and parachuted into France. Later killed by enemy action on the ground.

25. Staudte, Raymond C. “Ray”, St. Louis, MO. Completed tour. Returned to US, separated from service. Living near San Jose, CA.

26. Tiede, Ernest C., Buffalo, NY, Completed tour, returned to US and separated from service. Died of natural causes.

27. Wood, Lawrence, D “Woody”, Hoxie, KS. Died in aircraft accident after war.

28. Yeager, Charles E. “Chuck”, Hamlin, VA. Completed tour. Career USAF. Retired, living in Pleasant Valley, CA.
