These six photos provided from the collection of John McDonald, Armorer, 362nd FS, 357th FG

In memory of Lt Walter Perry, 362nd FS.

Captain Fred C Smith, Jackson, MS, 362nd FS. Fred came from the RAF 301 Eagle Squadron. Two and a half confirmed victories with the 357th FG.

Flew P-51B, 43-7188, G4-T which was lost on take-off, 15 June 1944 with Lt Taylor. His next P-51D was 13552, G4-T.

 

Piggy Back P-51D that had the gas tank behind the pilot seat removed and replaced with a wooden box for a passenger to sit on.
