John Sublett spent time as a flight instructor before entering the war. He was unhappy that he wasn't in the war, but realized later the extra year as an IP probably kept him alive. The additional flying time and training really paid off. John usually had six students and flew all six everyday. Once he sat through 82 landings in the back seat of a T-6 in one day. Ouch! These photos of John were supplied by John's son Johnny.
